Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and review new pages against them before publishing.
What we have built in
- Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, form field and menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
- Visible focus. The element you are focused on is clearly outlined.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns off animated transitions, background video and other decorative movement.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text. Decorative images and background video are hidden from screen readers.
- Color contrast. Text and interactive elements are designed to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
- Clear structure. Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels.
- Accessible forms. Form fields have visible labels, and messages about the form are announced.
- Plain-text versions. Most pages are also available as plain markdown at the same address with a .md extension.
